On Thursday 3rd March at 14h00 we will be holding a public dialogue on the recently released IPCC Working Group 2 report on ADAPTATION, VULNERABILITY, AND IMPACT.
The agenda for the meeting includes:
Opening remarks by Deputy Chair Valli Moosa.
- An outline of the global highlights from the IPCC WG II 2022 report presented by Dr. Debra Roberts, Co-chair of the IPCC WG2
- A presentation of the African specific highlights from the IPCC WG II 2022 report by Dr. Christopher Trisos, Director of the Climate Risk Lab (University of Cape Town)
A panel discussion on Human Settlements; Biodiversity; Finance; and Heritage featuring: Prof. Gina Ziervogel; Prof. Guy Midgley; Prof. Mark New; Dr. Nick Simpson
Commissioners and attendees will be welcome to engage with the authors following each presentation. The session will be chaired by Dhesigen Naidoo, Head of Climate Adaptation for the PCC Secretariat.
