National Colloquium on PCC Recommendations for South Africa's 2035 NDC

The Presidential Climate Commission hosted stakeholders from government, business, labour, civil society, faith-based groups, and youth at the National Colloquium on South Africa’s NDC 2035.

This event marked the culmination of the PCC’s inclusive consultation process to develop recommendations for South Africa’s updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), aligned with the Paris Agreement and due for submission at COP30 in 2025.

The colloquium featured three key reports:

• Technical Report
• Stakeholder Perspectives Report

These outputs are the result of capacity-building workshops, targeted consultations, and thematic dialogues hosted between November 2024 and July 2025.

The event offered a platform to reflect on this national dialogue, showcase diverse contributions, and build momentum toward a just and ambitious climate commitment.
