Blessing Manale

Blessing Manale holds a bachelor’s degree in law and numerous post-graduate qualifications in governance and communications. He has more than 20 years of career experience in public sector communications, stakeholder relations, intergovernmental relations and international relations, as well as public policy development
His previous roles include that of Deputy Director of Communications; Director: Sustainable Development Cooperation; Chief Director – Environmental Planning & Information, all at the former Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism from 2000 to 2008. He was Deputy Director-General – Maputo Development Corridor at the Department of Economic Development in Mpumalanga from 2008 to 2011 and as project manager responsible for Communications and Stakeholder Management for South Africa’s hosting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP17) Durban in 2011.
He served as Head of Communications for the national Department of Tourism before joining the Presidential Climate Commission in November 2021.
