Ignicious Masilela

Ignicious joined the Presidential Climate Commission in September 2022 as Coordinator. He strategically coordinates and supports PCC communication by building, maintaining, and improving relationships.

Ignicious is the astute communicator, who holds a BA degree in Communication Science and BA Honors Degree in Integrated Organisational Communication from the University of South Africa. He previously worked at Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) and Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) and Unisa Radio. In his roles, was responsible for communications, marketing, stakeholder relations, intergovernmental relations, media relations, content production and digital media.

Before joining the PCC, Ignicious played a significant strategic role in coordinating media relations and providing communication support during the 2022 KZN Floods; 2021 July Unrest; COVID-19 pandemic; Presidential Imbizos; and the inaugural Presidential Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa (SIDSSA) and other catalytic infrastructure development projects.
