Janse Rabie

Nicholaas Janse van Rensburg (Janse) Rabie, is the Head of Agri SA’s Natural Resource Centre of Excellence. He also serves as Agri SA’s Legal and Policy Executive Officer.

He was admitted as an attorney in 2000 and has specialised exclusively in the fields of planning, environmental and development law in both Europe and South Africa for most of his career.

In 2017 he joined Agri SA, South Africa’s largest agricultural federation, to lead its natural resources policy committee. In this role he has endeavoured to ensure and improve an enabling legislative and policy environment for a sustainable South African agricultural sector.

He holds BCom and LLB degrees from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Laws degree (specialising in marine and environmental law) from the University of Cape Town. In addition, he also completed several leadership and management courses.
