Katie Ross

Katie is the Senior Advisor: M&E at the PCC Secretariat, overseeing work that tracks South Africa’s progress on climate change and a just transition. Katie is on a long-term, part-time assignment to the PCC from World Resources Institute, where she is a Senior Associate in the Global Climate Program, working with major emerging economies to enhance their actions to address climate change. Earlier in her career, Katie worked for a climate change consultancy firm, advising governments and the private sector across southern Africa on a range of climate change issues—from climate strategy development and carbon credit projects, to climate change reporting and disclosure. Katie holds a Masters in Philosophy with specialisation in Energy and Development Studies from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Wits University.
