Louise Naudé

Louise Naudé leads WWF South Africa's work on an equitable transition towards a flourishing carbon-neutral and climate-resilient economy.

She has spent the last fourteen years working on domestic and UNFCCC-facing climate-related policy; technical and exploratory work on issues pertinent to the transition; and low-carbon initiatives in the real economy, with a special focus on the transport sector.

Prior to WWF, Louise spent fifteen years in the textbook publishing industry, the last four as CEO of a company with R455 million revenue (in today’s money), a drop within the Naspers portfolio. Before that, her checkered past includes volunteer and paid work in civil society organisations, teaching, work in advertising and design – all starting with being a computer programmer at Iscor.

Louise holds a B.Sc. with Mathematics and Computer Science as majors. She has lived in Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Tshwane, and Cape Town.
